Predatory Chair

It’s so hard being prey! It means I have to watch out for predators everywhere I go. And I have to be super careful about any new or unusual thing that I see. Take the new chair, for example. My person brought it in to my room recently and placed it VERY NEAR my cage. I’m supposed to like that? I don’t think so! It’s big and black and for all I know, little green parrot could be its favorite meal. My person has been sitting on it all day, but there’s no way I’m going near that thing, not for a few days, anyhow. I have to keep a beady eye on it and make sure it isn’t getting ready to attack. If it doesn’t do anything for a few days, it might turn out to be OK. I’ll let you know.

Shadow, my person hasn't brought in a new chair, but she did bring in a rabbit once. I liked the rabbit, but she bit me, and more than once. My person told me it had to do with that predator/prey thing. But how could the rabbit think I was a predator? The only prey I go after is in my dish every night at 6 o'clock. I do hunt for prey in the garbage cans at the library, but that's in packages. That rabbit was weird.

I'm glad I'm not in a packagae, or Cody might hunt after me!
