I wrote quite a lot of poetry in my younger years, as longtime followers of this blog may recall. I thought it would be a nice idea to do a poetry retrospective. Here is the first installment - one of my early poems about spring.
Spring

The outside birds sing
Their greetings to spring:
Cheep cheep chirrup chirp cheer.
But my kind of talking's
A very loud squawking.
It's pleasanter to the ear.
