Poetry Retrospective #1

I wrote quite a lot of poetry in my younger years, as longtime followers of this blog may recall. I thought it would be a nice idea to do a poetry retrospective. Here is the first installment - one of my early poems about spring.

by Shadow

The outside birds sing

Their greetings to spring:

Cheep cheep chirrup chirp cheer.

But my kind of talking's

A very loud squawking.

It's pleasanter to the ear.
